Just thought I'd share this inspirational video with you all...Got excuses?
This morning we had a really good power chat on the word "Vision" in our Saturday morning class. As it turned out, we only had juniors attend this particular class so we took the last 15 minutes of class to really explore the concept of vision and how we can all imagine our goals as if we have already achieved them. As a martial arts instructor, I am reminded how truly amazing our students are over and over again. We had one student who shared that his goal was to be a doctor and another wanted to earn his yellow belt. We all talked about how we could visualize how the goal would feel once it was attained. We also talked about starting every goal from exactly where we are now and then identifying and take each small step necessary to reach our goal. Because we want to keep the "vision" going for the next year, we would like to start creating a vision board for all of our students at the school and ask that you think about a worthy goal for the future, be it short or long term. We will be taking photos of all students and will post them on the vision board along with decorating the board with inspirational images, photos, and motivational words that will help our students truly visualize their goals. Cherish your visions and your dreams, as they are the children of your soul, the blueprints of your ultimate achievements. Napoleon Hill Welcome to our first blog post for 2011! This month our POWerful Word is Vision. Have you worked on your vision of what you want to be this year? If you're like me, you tossed out making resolutions long ago. What Mr. Fauth and I like to do now is called "visioning" how we want to be. We select only those daily activities that truly support our vision of how we want to "be". We have "To Be" lists rather than "To Do" lists. Works for us anyway. This gives us the freedom to be creative, inspired, authentic, and much more productive Most of you have already attended a class this new year but if you haven't, what are you waiting for? We started the New Year off right with our annual workout on January 1st at 8:00 a.m. and for us personally it is a great way to recommit ourselves to the process of self-development. No slipping back under the covers of a comfy warm bed for us on New Year's Day! We were up and about getting the blood and mind pumping. After all, holiday meals and much deserved time off does take its own toll on our healthy resolve. Don't forget to check out the student website as we have posted quite a few new things to enhance your training here at The 4th Degree. Check out the videos of Mr. Fauth performing the first 5 hyungs (forms) and browse the other sections of this website for new goodies. This year we will be preparing an all-school demonstration as part of Mr. Fauth's test for 6th degree under Mr. Bill Wallace. All students will be required to participate in this demonstration on March 26th so make sure to let us know if you foresee any possible schedule conflicts. We want 2011 to "be" the best year ever as we strive to improve and enhance our programs. Please don't hesitate to give us your feedback on how we could improve every aspect of our school. See you in class soon! |
